The next Take Back Day is on October 26th 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the following locations. Turn in any unwanted prescription and over the counter drugs for proper dissposal.
The U.S. Department of Justice is sponsoring a National Take Back Initiative. This program serves two purposes. First, it provides the public an environmentally safe way to dispose of medications. Second, it helps to reduce the abuse of prescription medications, which is one of the fastest growing areas of drug abuse in the United States. In Washington, PA it has passed alcohol as the number one drug of choice.
To make this program as convenient as possible, residents may drop off at one of the following Washington County sites:
